last night in Penang, tomorrow im taking off with my family to kayy ell. Its been such lovely 4 weeks. Im going to miss everyone so much. We always seem to complain about how holidays never seem to be long enough, but in a way, the short period of time we get makes us appreciate the moments that we share even more. this blog is in dire need of substance to make it somewhat alive~
anyways, for now, no updates basically due to the fact that im simply uninspired to post anything , that and also the inescapapable fact that i have extremely limited internet connection in my room, or to put in a better term, my compartment.
Yes, one room, 4 compartments and only one has decent wifi.
Screw you campus connections.
As for life, its been slightly more than a month since I entered my undergraduate program as Bachelor of Applied Arts aka AAD. Its been really fun, somewhat stressful, and bursting with new experience and memories.
So far , no nights are spent sleepless, Alhamdulillah.
Although that is not entirely considered a good thing, because while I may be getting sufficient shut eye.. Im not doing as well as I hoped in my studies, I know sleep or not, I should be able to push myself much further. 20 should bring at least some significance in the terms of my discipline and priorities ; keyword 'should'
instead I find myself in the same pattern ;
Knowing that something's bad for me yet succumbing to it anyway.
I should care more. I should try harder. I should stop having Gossip Girl marathons while theres assignments to do. I should I should I should.
HAIHHH.
For now, I'll just take comfort in the fact that there are many others sharing this phase , or at least, I think there is.

Today's my last day at home..
resuming my role as a student starting tomorrow,
i don't know why, but everything i do, it feels empty, dull, and there's something tugging at my heart,
the little voice that's whispering ' not yet, just a little bit longer.. i don't wanna go.. '
seriously, its been over half a year spent at home, surrounded by my family each day, and to just suddenly be separated from all this, i just couldn't brace myself with reality..
however, i know there's another family, away from home, people who i rely on when i need that shoulder to lean on, to gossip, to cry with, my friends..
away from one family off to another..
I hope this will be a good start..
I'll miss everyone so much..

i bet y'all wondering what the title's all about huh~
uhuhuu
well, as you can probably see from my blog i have quite an interest in art, its just so fun and bewitching~
i used to draw, A LOT, practiced everyday, my usual style being realism-anime-ish..
but ever since enrolling in my matriculation centre, i slowly lost my enthusiasm, and now my drawing skills are pretty much paused for now.
But I still enjoy browsing through DeviantArt every single day, feasting through wonderful pieces created by the community there..
and I was lucky enough to stumble upon a new and increasingly popular digital art practice (im not even sure practice is the right word,sorry ^^')

and thats's where the title comes it (mukadimah xleh pnjng lg, lol)

basically,collages and blends are digital art made by piecing together different objects (all in PNG format) to create a lovely composition that's further beautified by adding textures,lighting effects,typography,brushes and so much more. You can just go crazy really! its so much fun to experiment, the possibilities are endlessssss.
Mainly made in Photoshop ( I myself couldnt afford one, and my trusty GIMP is more than capable :D )

today marks exactly one week since the new (and final) semester started,
and unfortunately classes havent been all that appealing nor fun.
but of course, i havent heard classes that are meant to be fun,
this time round i only have two subjects in total,
8hrs of Graphic Communication 2 and 6 of Enviromental Design.
and BOTH are seriously messing with my head. argh!

GC's first task seem simple enough, drafting lines using pen. which is exactly where the nightmare began. i've been messing up so much ; went slightly over the line here, stroked where it was meant to be spotless,etc etc
and re-doing them again and again. and now im too scared to ruin my precious drawing i've stopped altogether. but im still going to have to finish them as they're due soon.

and ED,well what can I say about this one, the first lessons are on the elements and principles of design, a veeeeeeery brief lecture and then we're left to explore the campus by ourselves and TRY to identify the elements present in the buildings and structures.
and right now, other than balance and symmetry, pretty much nothing else makes sense to me,
only now do i realise that i cant really survive without a book to stick by.
and in 2 weeks we are supposed to come up with a design on an A2 that practices all that we've been "taught" * ~~pfft~~ and explain it thoroughly to our studio master.

every line must have a reason _Std Master

and oh yeah, also included is a writing assignment, 300 words explaining our completed design. FUN. last time i wrote that long was for SPM.

im doomed fo' sho'.

i hope the silver lining to this makes its appearance soon or im gonna lose it..

tomorrow im gonna be having an eid open house, right here in sweet sweet penang,

its really beeen quite a while since i've celebrated eid at my own home,

usually im back in my hometown during the whole celebration,

now that i finally got a chance to host my own open house it feels pretty good,

havent been able to blog for a while during this raya. because i was away for a while aka baaaalik kampungg.

the first day of eid marks my 19th birthday,which i guess is pretty cool.
i still dont find anything particularly special about that,other then my FB beeing flooded with birthday-cum-raya wishes,which was a pleasant thing to get on such a jolly day.
but again, im just a lil bit bummed from the fact that the people who i wanted the wishes from the most just seems to forget,oh well,not everything goes our way huh~

now im spending all that remains of my holiday,and then back to the campus to *try* and study my butt off for the finals, and then more touching up for the coming portfolio day which i dread so much on the 27th~

cant believe its already been more than a months since i updated this thing.
i blame this on, uhhh, kpop? HAHAH
no really, cant even recall what got me so preoccupied lately. is it those annoying gc projects? or..
anyway, had it not been the fact that my laptop is giving me so much crap today i think this entry wouldnt even came to be, damn is seriously need to get this thing formatted (blikla cpat Angah oi).
So now im pretty much cut out from my entertainment today, which mostly had to do with the fact that my hardisk is currently unaccesible, as i spent the last 3 hours googling for a solution and yet so far nothing has worked,
in fact, more problems keep popping up,now i cant even install any antivirus . how the heck am i supposed to be protected? D:
never felt this frustrated in a long long time.
at time like this the pain of being away from home really kicks you in the gut. oyy oyy.
i think i wont be back home until the Raya hols start. so am gonna be stuck fasting in PJ till then.

Ive lost count of how many times I wished so hard that my life is a flawless movie.

And then I smacked my head knowing that im way over my head, and for not appreciating how beautiful my life already is.

In a situation where the only reason you want to join is because your heart is so lonely and cold. Desperately wishing the warmth of a good company. Almost to a point of choking because the hollow in your chest keeps growing, engulfing you in silent pain. What then??

Im in a terrible state, as you can probably already tell. I could feel the waterworks coming again. Which reminds me, how the hell does someone start weeping all of a sudden for no reason? Is there anyone else who has experienced this? Do tell, please. I cant even figure that out myself.

I say this and yet I don't even call to ask "whats up lately?" its cause thatll last for a whole 10 seconds before it gets awkward and then after 5 mins I'll just hang up, that's my family for you. Cant help it, but when we're all together, its magic.

imagination, an extremely important part of life, cant really imagine a world without it.
literally.

without it, there's no moving forward, bettering ourselves, improving creations, no evolution.
and i love it, for that, and many other reasons.
you see, drawing used to be my passion, eversince i was in primary,
truth be told i only started out because i wanted to draw my favourite hero(-in) at the time,
Sai-lor-mOOn~
and i never looked back since then, basically, anime became my main source of inspiration,
i based my character designs on the animes i loved, ( Gensomaden Saiyuki, Inuyasha, etc. )
and, i guess, as a child, i felt very proud of what i was able to do.
oh the simplicity of childhood :D ~
and i kept at it, growing up, constantly trying to improve, and i did.
but as the years passed, while my skill shown a slight improvement, i felt that i was lacking in so many places,
mainly i was feeling completely drained of any form of creativeness,
it remained for some time, the empty feel i get whenever i finished a piece, rather than the joy i had when drawing a simple sketch when i was 13yrs old.
and then it hit me,
heck,
i wasnt losing my creativeness,
far from it,
I JUST GREW UP.
and found more challenges along the way, my skills are tested,
the problem was not that creativity dissipated,
i just hit a plateau, skills wise i've become better, but my ideas havent adapted to my progress,
i grew up, my way of thinking should too,
and that's what i'll do,
i'll LEARN
i'll STUDY
and you betcha im gonna FLY~ :D

why vain u ask?
because, well, its concerning my current skin problem.

but i just-cant-stand-it-anymore.
i have moderate acne problems, and my skin is unfortunately what you'd describe as , oily
skali bgn tido bole goreng ikan kerapu.
usually, i dont give it much thought *yelah tu*
but ever since the hols started, its been getting words.
zits palooza ppl.
lots of em on my already blemished+scarred face.
and get this; they can be painful,
so basically what im trying to ask of all you lovely lovely readers is.
recommendations?
any of your friends with the same problem? did they find a good solution that works?

just got back from my brother's house in Kajang.
bfore the trip back, had a chance to catch a movie ; 14 Blades
a chinese movie, telling the story of an assasin working for the emperor, set in the Ming dynasty.
just perfect, cuz im a sucker for chinese action dramas,movies.
the fighting scene was quite good, especially when the lead uses his deadly weapon, the 14 blades,
carried in a lacquered wooden box.
each blade serves its own unique purpose,
the last one reserved for suicide when a misson is failed.
now i dare u to say that aint cool.
the characters and costumes were superb too,
especially the main antagonist,
Tuo Tuo,
her hairstyle rocked. its like, 24k-medusa-chic,
haha
take a looksie,

she's one hot murderous chick.

and of course, the lead chara, Qing Long, played by Donnie Yen

with every hero there's got to be a damsel right?
that'd be Qiao Hua, played by Zhao Wei

and of course, a gorgeous guy playing the head of desert robbers who came to enjoining good is a definite bonus.
